William R "Bill" Downey

William R "Bill" Downey has worked in a variety of roles across multiple industries. In 1979, they began their career as a Technical Service Chemist at National Starch and Chemical. William R "Bill" then moved to the Royal Dutch/Shell Group of Companies in 1980, where they progressed through a series of jobs of increasing responsibility, including sales, marketing, trading, product line and business management. In 1988, they joined Kline & Company as Senior Vice President, Energy & Head of Global Client Management, and was responsible for business development for the Practice. In 1996, they became Committee Chairman Troop 6 Caldwell NJ at the Boy Scouts of America, coordinating the efforts of the adult volunteers in order to support the young adult leaders of the Boy Scout Troop. In 2010, they joined the Caldwell Public Library Foundation Board as a Board Member. In 2012, they became a Partner at Roland Berger, and in 2013 they joined Novvi, LLC as Senior Vice President, Business Development. In 2018, they became an Advisor to the Head Coach and Team Mentor, Women’s Golf Team at Rutgers University Division of Athletics.

William R "Bill" Downey's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Rutgers University, obtained between 1975 and 1979, followed by a Master of Business Administration in Marketing and Finance from Rutgers University - Newark, obtained between 1979 and 1983. William R "Bill" also attended Roselle Catholic between 1971 and 1975.
