Saravanan Rengaraj is a Senior Research Scientist at NPK Recovery, leading the VDBUK project, which focuses on innovative bioprocesses for NPK recovery from biowaste, promoting resource efficiency in agriculture. Previously, Saravanan served as Head of Science and Lead Project Manager at WASE LIMITED, developing advanced electrochemical technologies for wastewater. Additional roles include Nitrate Sensors Mentor and Business Development Manager at Zimmer and Peacock Ltd and Research Officer at Bangor University. Saravanan holds a PhD in Electrochemical Sensors from the University of Galway and has a strong background in bioenergy, biofuel cells, and wastewater treatment, with experience gained through various research positions and a PhD program that investigated biocatalytic films for electrochemical applications.
