Mike Cordaro

Mike Cordaro is a seasoned leader in the energy sector with extensive experience in wholesale operations and energy management. Currently serving as Senior Director of Wholesale Operations at NRG Energy since January 2021, Mike oversees the energy management business. Previously, as Head of Wholesale Operations at Direct Energy from January 2014 to December 2020, responsibilities included managing North America's asset management service across multiple regions while ensuring compliance with commercial agreements. Prior roles include Director of Wholesale Operations at Hess Corporation, Vice President of Energy Strategy at BNP Paribas Fortis, Chief Energy Supply Specialist at PSE&G, and System Operator at Con Edison. Mike holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Manhattan University and a Master’s degree in Energy Management from the New York Institute of Technology.
