Derek Bergeon

Derek Bergeon has a strong background in operations and management. Derek is currently the Chief Operating Officer at NSA Storage, a position they have held since April 2023. Prior to that, they served as the SVP of Operations at the same company from 2019 to 2023.

Before joining NSA Storage, Derek held various positions at Extra Space Storage from 2010 to 2019. Derek started as a District Manager, responsible for recruiting, training, and managing direct reports. Derek then became a Senior District Manager, where they supported and mentored district managers in the Southern California division. Finally, Derek served as a Division Vice President, leading their team to achieve operational goals and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

In 2009, Derek worked at Filefax as an Operations Manager, responsible for managing installations, logistics, and administration. Derek also implemented new policies and procedures to improve cost-effectiveness and production.

From 2004 to 2008, Derek was the Director of Operations at Labor Finders, overseeing various departments and implementing new corporate policies to protect company assets and promote growth.

Derek began their career in the US Navy as an AW2 (AW/AC)/Rescue Swimmer from 2000 to 2004.

Derek Bergeon obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Ashford University, where they attended from 2009 to 2011. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Leading Change from LinkedIn in September 2018.
