George Hoglund

George Hoglund, CFA has extensive work experience spanning over two decades. George currently serves as the Vice President of Investor Relations at National Storage Affiliates since January 2019. In this role, they lead the Investor Relations Team and is responsible for various tasks such as drafting earnings call scripts, press releases, and investor presentations. George also prepares the management team for earnings call Q&A, manages institutional investor and sell-side analyst relationships, and organizes investor/analyst events and property tours. George has successfully increased sell-side coverage by five analysts since joining the company. Additionally, they have played a key role in debt private placement issuances totaling over $1.2 billion and liaised with Credit Rating Agencies to obtain an investment-grade credit rating.

Prior to their role at National Storage Affiliates, George worked at Jefferies as the Vice President of Equity Research - REITs from July 2013 to October 2018. In this capacity, they covered various REITs, including Self-Storage, Shopping Center, Triple-Net Retail, Mall, Apartment, and Healthcare REITs. George was the highest-ranked analyst at Jefferies during their tenure.

Before Jefferies, George worked at Fitch Ratings as an Associate Director - REITs from September 2010 to June 2013. Their primary coverage included conducting credit ratings of REITs across different property types, and they provided secondary coverage for additional REITs.

George's career started at Bear Stearns, where they held the position of Vice President of Equity Research from July 2005 to June 2008. George provided research coverage of Commercial Mortgage and Net Lease REITs and also assisted with coverage of the Office/Industrial, Retail, and Apartment sectors.

Prior to that, George worked at Banc of America Securities as a Portfolio Analyst from December 1999 to June 2003. In this role, they created investment reviews and valuation reports on portfolios exceeding $1.5 billion and performed stress tests on corporate fixed income portfolios.

Additionally, George has experience working as the Director of Operations at Tierranueva S.A., the Master Franchisee of Blimpie in Peru, from January 1997 to October 1998.

George Hoglund, CFA completed their education at the University of Rochester - Simon Business School from 2003 to 2005, where they obtained an MBA degree with a focus on Finance and International Management. Prior to that, they attended California State University - East Bay, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. In addition to their academic achievements, George is also a CFA Charterholder and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst certification.
