Peta Pocock

Peta Pocock is a seasoned professional in learning and development with extensive experience in the public sector. Currently serving as Director of Learning & Development at NSW Department of Education, Peta has been recognized as a 2025 finalist for the AITD Excellence Awards in two categories and a 2024 winner of the Learn X Awards for talent development. Prior to this role, Peta held the position of Director, National People Development at the Australian Bureau of Statistics, where Peta received the 2022 ABS Enterprise Services Group Award for excellence in people management. Earlier experience includes a tenure as Head of Training at eHealth NSW, which featured a nomination for the Chief Executive Award for Leadership. Peta holds an MBA from the University of New England and a Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Leadership from the Australian Institute of Management, complemented by a Cert IV in Training & Assessment from Upskill Australia.
