David McNamara

David McNamara is an experienced planning and infrastructure professional with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Operations and Planning Delivery at the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure since October 2018, David has held multiple key positions, including Executive Director of Program Delivery and Director of the Eastern District within the City of Sydney. David's previous roles include Director at the NSW Independent Planning Commission and Area Planning Manager at the City of Sydney. David's extensive background in planning also encompasses significant contributions to strategic assessments and consultancy at organizations such as Manidis Roberts and the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. David holds a Bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of New England.
