Shona Bleakley

Shona Bleakley is an accomplished policy professional with extensive experience in public administration and environmental policy. Currently serving as Principal Policy Officer at the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment since June 2018, Shona has been instrumental in preparing advice on land management and biodiversity reforms. Prior to this role, Shona held various positions including Policy Officer at the Office of Environment and Heritage and Manager of Strategic Stakeholder Communications at CenITex. Shona's background includes significant contributions to New Zealand Trade and Enterprise as Trade Commissioner and Group Manager, where achievements included establishing teams and managing substantial project budgets. Educational qualifications include a BA(Hons)/LLB from Victoria University of Wellington and further studies at the University of Auckland and The London School of Economics.
