Bardi Bester

Bardi Bester is a seasoned risk management and audit professional with extensive experience in financial oversight and compliance. Currently serving as Risk and Audit Partner for the NSW Government since August 2023, Bardi previously held significant positions at Commonwealth Bank from March 2017 to July 2023, where responsibilities included establishing and managing the Risk Management team for Retail Bank Services and providing strategic support within operational and compliance risk for Bankwest. Bardi's career trajectory began with roles at Bankwest from 2008 to 2017, including Senior Risk Manager and Internal Auditor, as well as holding financial executive positions at Business Connexion and Comparex Holdings, where financial oversight and internal auditing were the primary focus. Bardi holds a degree in Auditing and Accounting from the University of South Africa.
