Ouri Karni

Ouri Karni is a Research Scientist at NTT Research, focusing on spectroscopy and non-linear photonics since December 2023, aiming to advance photonic computing through experimental work on non-linear light-matter interactions. Prior to this role, Ouri Karni served as a Research Scientist and Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Applied Physics at Stanford University, where the research centered on the interactions of light with matter to explore applications in material structures. Ouri Karni's academic background includes a PhD in Electrical Engineering and a combined Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Physics from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, where research involved ultra-fast phenomena in nanostructured semiconductor optical devices and quantum coherent light-matter interactions. Additional experience includes working as a Research and Development Engineer in the Israel Defense Forces from 2007 to 2011.
