Michael Humbert

Michael Humbert began their work experience as a Ph.D. student at Georg-Speyer-Haus from July 2001 to October 2005. Michael then worked as a Research Fellow and Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School from October 2005 to February 2013. During this time, they specialized in designing phage display selection strategies and conducting vaccine and antibody development against HIV/AIDS and other diseases. Following that, they joined Dana-Farber Cancer Institute as an Instructor in Medicine from September 2009 to February 2013. There, they developed novel selection protocols for peptide phage display pannings and conducted vaccine studies and antibody immune response analysis in various animal models. From 2013 to 2015, they worked at Theranos as a Senior Scientist, focusing on diagnostic antibody development and improving selection strategies. Finally, they co-founded Nature's Toolbox (NTx) in December 2015, where they continue to contribute.

Michael Humbert completed their Abitur at Otto-Hahn-Gymnasium Landau i.d. Pfalz from 1986 to 1995. Following that, they pursued a Diploma in Biochemistry, Biophysical Chemistry, and Microbiology at Goethe University Frankfurt, graduating in 2001. Michael continued their education at the same university, obtaining a Doctorate in Natural Sciences (Dr. phil. nat.) with a focus on Biochemistry, Immunology, and Virology from 2001 to 2005.
