Daniel de Aguiar

Daniel De Aguiar is an accomplished software engineer and consultant with extensive experience in engineering leadership and functional programming, particularly using Clojure. Currently serving as Principal Engineer and Director of Engineering at Nubank, Daniel has previously held roles at Cognitect, where involvement in healthcare system development took place, and at Arch Creek Consulting, where expertise was applied across diverse industries. As a founding partner at Point Slope, Daniel focused on agile software development methodologies. Notable past positions include Interim CTO at MovieTickets.com, Chief Architect for ncl.com at Norwegian Cruise Line, and Senior Developer/Consultant at IBM. Daniel's technical career began at EDS as a Consultant, following a Ph.D. in Genetics from Harvard University.
