Ettai Markovits has a strong background in biomedical research and medical practice. Ettai started their career at Hebrew University as a Research Assistant from September 2010 to August 2013. Afterwards, they joined Sheba - Tel Ha SHomer Hospital as a Medical Doctor, where they worked from February 2015 to February 2022. In February 2022, they transitioned to Nucleai as a Senior Researcher and later became a Research Team Lead in July 2022. Currently, Ettai serves as the Director of Biomedical Research at Nucleai, where they lead a team in developing innovative methods for biomarker identification in cancer pathology images and extracting valuable biological insights. Ettai also oversees the acquisition and analysis of large-scale datasets generated from advanced imaging technologies and collaborates with external partners to foster research initiatives and explore new opportunities.
Ettai Markovits started their education journey in 2008 at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where they pursued their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in the field of Medicine. This educational endeavor continued for seven years, until 2015. In 2016, Ettai Markovits went on to enhance their academic skills at Tel Aviv University, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Microbiology and Immunology.
