Caroline Steingard

Director of Finance & Accounting at Nucleate

Caroline Steingard, PhD, currently serves as the Global Director of Finance and Accounting at Nucleate, guiding financial strategies for a student-run organization that fosters life sciences entrepreneurship. Previously, Caroline held various roles at Cornell University, including Graduate Student Researcher focusing on Bacillus subtilis metal ion homeostasis and founder of the Write a Researcher Outreach Program, which connects STEM scientists with high school students. Additional contributions at Cornell involved leadership in the Graduate and Professional Student Assembly, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the field of microbiology. Caroline's earlier experience includes research at Penn State University and the FDA. Caroline holds a PhD in Microbiology from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science with Distinction in Biology from Penn State University.
