Lauren Miller

Lauren Miller is a skilled metallurgical engineering professional with extensive experience in academic research and leadership roles. Currently serving as a Graduate Research Assistant and Metallurgical Department Social Media Correspondent at The University of Alabama since July 2019, Lauren has also held positions as an Undergraduate Research Assistant. In March 2023, Lauren founded and became the Chapter President of the Alabama Alpha Chapter of Alpha Sigma Mu, an international honor society in materials science and engineering. Previous roles include Vice President of Community Outreach for The UA Walking Club and various memberships and leadership positions within Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. Lauren gained practical industry experience as a Foundry Engineering Intern at Tampa Brass and Aluminum and as a Summer Engineering Intern at Donsco Inc. Lauren holds a degree in Metallurgical Engineering from The University of Alabama, obtained in 2023, and is an alumnus of The Episcopal Collegiate School.
