Richard Pitel

Richard Pitel has over 15 years of work experience in the engineering and quality fields. In 2019, they began working at NuFACE as a Senior Quality Engineer and Quality Engineer. From 2017 to 2019, they worked at Next Orthosurgical, Inc. as a Project and Design Engineer, responsible for new product development of implants and instruments for fixation and fusion of the lumbar and thoracic spine. Richard also designed numerous surgical instruments for a minimally invasive posterior fixation system which contributed to a new system launch, and was the project lead for the development of a new anterior cervical spine plate system. From 2008 to 2017, Richard worked at ConforMIS in various roles, including Quality and Project Management Engineer, Design Engineer II, and Design Engineer I. In their role as Quality and Project Management Engineer, they oversaw quality of CAD manufacturing department, resolved issues, completed workflow improvement projects and maintained product throughput. As Design Engineer II, they supervised production and workflow of approximately 20 employees, and as Design Engineer I, they were the designated lead reviewer of iForma product line. From 2005 to 2008, Richard worked at Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics as an Engineering Assistant, successfully incorporating change orders to reduce average number of open change orders from 150 to 10, and transferring 2-D engineering drawings to 3-D models using Pro-Engineer software.

Richard Pitel obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Long Beach in 2007.
