Don Armstrong

Don Armstrong is a seasoned data engineering consultant currently working at Nufarm since September 2025, after serving as Director and Team Lead Manager of Data at Ginkgo Bioworks, Inc. from October 2022 to October 2025. With extensive experience as a Debian Developer since 2004, Don has led diverse teams in delivering data solutions for R&D in life sciences at Bayer and has conducted complex epidemiological studies at prestigious universities including the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the University of Southern California. Don holds a PhD in Cell, Molecular, and Developmental Biology and a BS in Biology, both from the University of California, Riverside.
