Pekka Virtanen

Pekka Virtanen has had a long and successful career in the Finnish business world. Pekka started out as a software manager for Yhtyneet Kuvalehdet Oy in 1986. From there, they went on to become the IT manager for Alfred Berg Holding Ltd. in 1995. In 1997, they became the CEO of eQ Bank Ltd., heading the integration of eQ Bank to Nordnet Bank of Sweden. Pekka held this position until 2011, when they became the director of Crosskey Banking Solutions Ltd. In 2015, they became the chairman of the board for Nukute Ltd., a Finnish innovative SME with a novel technology for pre-screening and assisting in treatment of sleeping disorders. Pekka has held this position until 2021.

Pekka Virtanen has a master's degree in social sciences with a focus in informatics, information technology, and communications theory from Tampere University.
