Matt Bretz, PHR has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Matt started their career as a Teller at Heartland Credit Union in Springfield, IL in 2002. Matt then moved to Bloomington Municipal Credit Union where they served as a Teller from 2003 to 2005. In 2005, they joined DuPage Credit Union as a Member Service Associate before being promoted to Assistant Retail Sales Manager in 2006 and later becoming the Retail Sales Manager in 2007. At DuPage Credit Union, they also played a significant role in developing and administering the Retail Division Member Service and Senior Member Service Training Program. In 2015, Matt joined NorthStar Credit Union as a Branch Manager, responsible for sales and operations. Matt was later promoted to Sales & Service Manager, where they drove organizational growth goals and member service throughout the organization. Matt'smost recent role was at NuMark Credit Union, where they served as the Director of Sales & Service from February 2021 to June 2021, and then took on the role of Director of Human Resources from May 2021 onwards. Matt's extensive experience and diverse background in the credit union industry make him a valuable asset in the field of human resources.

Matt Bretz, PHR, holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Northern Illinois University, which they obtained from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business Management with a focus on Human Resources at Illinois State University from 2001 to 2005. In addition to their formal education, Matt holds a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from HRCI, which they obtained in May 2022.
