Sarah Owens Mph

Sarah Owens MPH, CSP has a diverse work experience in the field of environmental health and safety. Sarah currently holds the position of Corporate Director of Environmental Health & Safety at Numotion since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Workplace Health & Safety Recordkeeping Manager at Amazon from January 2022 to September 2022. From 2020 to 2022, they served as an Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist at Numotion. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Online Facilitator for the College of Justice and Safety at Eastern Kentucky University from 2015 to 2022. Sarah also gained experience as an Environmental Health & Safety Consultant/Industrial Hygienist at Smith Management Group from September 2012 to January 2020. Additionally, they served as the Past President of the ASSP - Louisville Chapter from 2015 to 2017. Sarah started their career as an Environmental Health and Safety Intern at Owens Corning in 2012 and later worked as an Environmental Health and Safety Intern at Joy Global in 2011. Overall, Sarah has a strong background in environmental health and safety management, risk assessment, incident investigation, and regulatory compliance.

Sarah Owens, MPH, CSP completed their education with a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) in Environmental Health from Eastern Kentucky University in 2012. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology, General from the same university in 2010. In 2006, they graduated from The Piarist School, obtaining a High School Diploma. Sarah Owens also holds additional certifications, including a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals in 2017 and a Post Graduate Certificate in Industrial Hygiene from Eastern Kentucky University in 2012. Additionally, they are currently pursuing an OSHA 30-hour certification from the University of South Florida.
