John Cogill

John Cogill is an experienced patent counsel currently employed at Nuna since April 2023. Prior professional experience includes serving as a mid-level associate at Reed Smith LLP from July 2020 to March 2023, and as an associate patent attorney at Klintworth & Rozenblat IP LLP and Volpe and Koenig, P.C. prior to that. John began a legal career at Kim Winston LLP where roles included both associate patent attorney and patent agent. Prior to entering private practice, John gained valuable experience as a patent examiner at the USPTO from June 2008 to October 2015, focusing on mechanical patents. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Temple University - James E. Beasley School of Law and a double degree in Mechanical Engineering and English from the University of Notre Dame.
