Charlotte Hepples

Charlotte Hepples is a highly experienced professional currently serving as the Technical Lead and Senior Research Scientist at NunaBio Limited since April 2021. Previously, Charlotte held roles as a PhD Student and Postdoctoral Research Assistant at Newcastle University from September 2015 to December 2020, focusing on Optical DNA Detection. In addition, Charlotte participated in the ICURe program as an Early Career Researcher, where a successful pitch resulted in follow-on funding that facilitated the establishment of NunaBio Ltd. Charlotte also gained international experience as a Visiting Graduate Student at the University of California San Diego in 2017 and worked as an Operations and Logistics Administrator at GAMA Healthcare Ltd. in 2015. Charlotte earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemistry from Newcastle University and undertook a Capstaff Fellowship in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at UC San Diego, complemented by a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemistry from Newcastle University and a year abroad focused on Organic Chemistry at the University of Waterloo.
