Sherri Young has a diverse work history. Sherri started their career as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at Brock University, where they taught Dispute Resolution and Political Science courses and marked assignments, tests, and exams. Sherri then joined the Government of Canada as a Senior Advisor/Program Manager/Land Claims Specialist. In this role, they created and reviewed regional proposals, advised senior management on policy decisions, represented the government in negotiations, and provided input to program reviews. Currently, Sherri is the Director of Policy and Strategic Planning at Nunavut Arctic College.
Sherri Young's education history includes obtaining a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science from the University of New Brunswick from 1994 to 2002. Sherri then pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Political Science and Government at Brock University from 2002 to 2004. Following this, they attended Osgoode Hall Law School from 2007 to 2011 and obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Alternative Dispute Resolution. Finally, they completed an Executive Certificate in Conflict Management from the University of Windsor Faculty of Law in 2014.
