Sarah Hamilton

Sarah Hamilton has extensive experience in regulatory roles, currently serving as Legally Qualified Chair at the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service and as Independent Complaints Reviewer for the Independent Press Standards Organisation. Additional positions include Chair and Lay Member for the Investigating Committee at The Nursing and Midwifery Council, Commissioner at the Boundary Commission for England, and Independent Panel Member for The London Assembly. Sarah also chairs Fitness to Practise Committees for the General Optical Council and the General Pharmaceutical Council, and acts as a Lay Inspector for Social Work England. Past roles include Chair of the Fitness to Practise Panel at the Health and Care Professions Council and Adjudicator for the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Exeter and completed secondary education at Portsmouth High School for Girls.
