Carrie Fosaaen has a diverse work experience in the field of regulatory affairs and licensing within the energy industry. Carrie is currently working at NuScale Power, where they hold the position of Vice President of Regulatory Affairs since June 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the Senior Director of Regulatory Affairs from November 2020 to June 2023 at the same company. Carrie also worked as a Manager of International Regulatory Affairs from August 2019 to October 2020, a Licensing Supervisor from October 2018 to July 2019, and a Licensing Engineer from September 2015 to October 2018 at NuScale Power.

Before joining NuScale Power, Carrie worked at Xcel Energy as a Licensing Engineer from March 2011 to September 2015. Prior to that, they worked at MACTEC as a Project Health Physicist from June 2010 to March 2011. Carrie also holds a B.S. degree in Nuclear Engineering from Purdue University, which they earned from 2004 to 2008. In addition to their degrees, Carrie has obtained various certifications including a Private Pilot Certificate - Instrument Rating from the Federal Aviation Administration in December 2018, a BWR Senior Reactor Operator Certification from INPO in April 2014, and a TESOL Certification from the American TESOL Institute in August 2008.
