Chris Nighbert

Chris Nighbert is a Technical Program Specialist at NuScale Power, with experience since June 2017 that includes managing the NuScale Integral Systems Test Facility, overseeing a $2 million annual budget, and developing programmatic materials to comply with regulatory requirements. Prior roles include leading over 30 tests for validating thermal hydraulic safety codes, executing various functions such as Test Engineer and Test Director, and operating the test facility as a Graduate Research Assistant from June 2015 to June 2017. Nighbert also completed a software engineering internship at Bruker Elemental. Nighbert holds a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree in Nuclear Engineering from Oregon State University.
