Director Of Regulatory Affairs at NuScale Power

Mark Shaver serves as the Director of Regulatory Affairs at NuScale Power, where responsibilities include leading the development and submission of the Standard Design Approval Application. Prior to this role, Mark held various positions at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, including Supervisor of the Radiological Engineering Group and Nuclear Engineering Analyst, focusing on particle transport and radiation detection simulations for national security applications. Mark's earlier experience includes an undergraduate researcher role with NASA's Microgravity Flight Team and an internship at the Air Force Research Laboratory investigating radiation effects on space electronics. Mark holds an Honors B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from Oregon State University, a M.S.E. in Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences from the University of Michigan, and is pursuing an Executive Program for Energy Industry Leaders certificate at The University of Texas at Austin.
