Gustavo Alarcon

Gustavo Alarcon, MBA has extensive experience in SAP consulting and project management. Gustavo began their career as a Senior Consultant at Titan Technology Partners, where they played a key role in implementing SAP ECC 6.0 and the DBM module. Gustavo then joined Hitachi Consulting as a Manager, leading SAP MM architecture and working on projects related to agriculture commodity procurement.

After that, Gustavo worked at Tesoro as a Lead/Senior SAP Business Analyst, specializing in IS Oil SD/MM. Gustavo provided support and SME expertise in SAP integration with SRA's Trading, Scheduling, and Actualization modules. During their time at Tesoro, they also worked as an Independent SAP Consultant, supporting acquisitions, divestitures, and a refinery implementation project.

Later, Gustavo joined Opportune LLP as a Manager, overseeing SAP production support and enhancement work for multiple refineries and the corporate office. Gustavo then moved to Par Pacific Holdings, Inc. as an Independent SAP Consultant, contributing to the design of the SAP S4 HANA system and working on various P2P and S4 HANA Simple Finance initiatives.

Gustavo'snext role was at Tesoro Corporation, where they provided SAP MM procurement and SD support for logistics and acquisitions. Most recently, Gustavo joined Valero Energy Corporation as a Senior Business Systems Support Specialist, focusing on SAP MM support for refineries and Ethanol plants.

In their current position as Lead ERP Project Specialist at NuStar Energy L.P., Gustavo continues to utilize their expertise in SAP and project management to drive successful ERP projects.

Gustavo Alarcon, MBA, has a strong educational background in International Business and Petroleum Engineering. Gustavo obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University in the years 1984 to 1989. Prior to this, Gustavo completed their high school education at Central Catholic High School from 1980 to 1984. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in International Business at St. Mary's University from 1997 to 1998.
