Bijoy Purushothaman

Bijoy Purushothaman is an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in semiconductor and storage technologies. Currently serving as Director of Engineering at Nutanix since October 2018, Bijoy is responsible for managing engineering relationships with multiple OEM partners. Prior to this role, Bijoy was the Head of Engineering at Vita Analytics Inc, focusing on hardware/firmware and cloud infrastructure development. Previous positions include Sr. Manager of ASIC Design Engineering at WD, where management of development teams for Host Interface IPs was a key responsibility, and Manager of ASIC Design Engineering at SanDisk, leading the development of enterprise-class solid-state drives. Bijoy's career also includes significant contributions at Seagate Technology, where leadership roles encompassed SSD controller and HDD read channel IP development. Bijoy holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in VLSI Design from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from the College of Engineering Trivandrum.
