Jaco Smit

Jac Smit is the current Commercial General Manager at Nutri Feeds (Pty) Limited. Prior to this, Jac was the Technical Commercial Manager at Orffa from December 2018 to February 2022, where they were responsible for sales and marketing. Before that, they were an Account Manager at Kemin Industries from April 2017 to November 2018, and before that a Sales and Technical Manager at Opti Feeds from December 2016 to March 2017. At Opti Feeds, Jac was responsible for technical support, sales, marketing, and logistics. Before their current role, Jac was the Marketing Manager at Opti Feeds from August 2011 to December 2016. Prior to that, they were a Technical Advisor - Ruminants at De Heus Voeders B.V. from July 2009 to September 2011. Before that, they were a Technical Advisor - Ruminants at MEADOW FEEDS LIMITED from September 2006 to June 2009. Jac began their career as a Sales Representative at TWK Agriculture from April 2006 to August 2006. Jaco then became a Section Manager & Irrigation manager at Beefmaster PTY (Ltd) from October 2004 to March 2006.

Jaco Smit has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the NWU - Potchefstroom business school, with a focus in Business Administration and Management, General. Jaco also has an Advanced management program (NQF level 7) from the NWU - Potchefstroom business school in Management. Additionally, they have a Middle management program (NQF level 6) from the Northwest university - Potchefstroom business school also in Management. Jaco Smit's undergraduate degree is in Animal Sciences from the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria (BInst Agrar (Animal production)). Jaco completed their high school education at Monument High School (Grade 12/Matric).
