Nutrition International
Steve Gilbert has a diverse work experience in the field of international development and program management. Steve began their career as a Country Director for CARE International Cuba from 2000-2002. Steve then served as an Assistant Country Director for CARE International Indonesia from 2002-2004. Following this, they worked for CARE Canada as an Asia Regional Manager from 2004-2005 and later as the VP of International Operations from 2005-2007. From 2007-2012, Steve ran their own management consulting firm, SG Management Consulting, providing services to international NGOs, the UN, World Bank, and government agencies. In 2013, they joined the Micronutrient Initiative as the Director of Program Services, responsible for supervising various programs related to nutrition and knowledge management. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Program Operations at Nutrition International since 2017.
Steve Gilbert earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Toronto - University of St. Michael's College between 1985 and 1989.
