Liang Fang

Liang Fang began their work experience in 2005 as a Biostatistics Manager at Amgen. They then worked at Genentech as a Senior Biostatistician from 2008 to 2011, and later as a Senior Statistical Scientist from 2011 to 2013. From 2013 to 2018, Liang held various roles at Gilead Sciences, including Associate Director and Director. In 2018, they founded the BBSW (Bay area Biotech-pharma Statistics Workshop). After that, Liang worked as the Head of Biostatistics and Statistical Programming at MyoKardia from 2018 to 2019, and then as the Head of Biostatistics, Sr Director from 2019 to 2020. From 2021 to 2022, they served as the VP, Head of Biometrics and Bioinformatics at Bolt Biotherapeutics, Inc. Currently, Liang works at Nuvation Bio as the VP, Head of Data Science.

Liang Fang earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Instrumental Analysis from Wuhan University in 1999. Later, between 2000 and 2005, Liang attended Kansas State University, where they obtained a PhD in Statistics.
