Steven Bass

Steven Bass, Ph.D. CRE, currently serves as Senior Director and Portfolio Manager for Alternatives and Strategic Transactions at Nuveen, a TIAA company. Previously, Bass founded AR Capital Advisors and held the position of Director and Country Manager for Japan at AEW. In addition, Bass was a Partner at Orion Partners, which was acquired by abrdn, and served as Managing Director at CBRE Investment Management. Bass holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Urban Planning from UCLA and is currently pursuing education at the Texas McCombs School of Business.
