Julie Anne Smith

Julie Anne Smith has extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Julie Anne is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Nuvig Therapeutics Inc., a position they have held since 2023. Before that, from 2018 to 2022, they served as the President and CEO of ESCAPE Bio, Inc., where they focused on developing therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases. Prior to that, they were the President and Chief Executive Officer of Nuredis, Inc. from 2017 to 2018. From 2015 to 2016, they held the role of President and CEO at Raptor Pharmaceuticals. In 2014, they were the President and CEO Designate at Raptor. From 2012 to 2014, they served as the Executive Vice President of Strategy and Chief Operational Officer at Raptor Pharmaceutical. Earlier in their career, they held leadership positions at Enobia Pharma, Jazz Pharmaceuticals Inc., Genzyme, and Novazyme.

Julie Anne Smith attended Cornell University from 1991 to 1993, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology.
