Joern Toedling is a Research Scientist in Bioinformatics at Nuvisan Pharma Services Group since November 2020, with prior experience as a Research Scientist in Bioinformatics at Charité from September 2016 to November 2020. Joern's career includes roles at Bayer Pharmaceuticals focusing on oncology drug discovery and next-generation sequencing data, as well as experience as a Staff Scientist at the Institute of Molecular Biology, conducting high-throughput genomics experiments and developing bioinformatics software. Joern has served as a Post-doctoral fellow at Institut Curie, working on small RNA profiling and ChIP-Seq studies, and was a Doctoral candidate at EMBL-EBI under Dr. Wolfgang Huber. An earlier role as an Affiliate Research Associate at Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics involved contributions to computational diagnostics. Joern holds a PhD in Bioinformatics from the University of Cambridge, and both a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Bioinformatics from Freie Universität Berlin.
