John Lavanway

John LaVanway has extensive work experience in various roles across different companies.

Starting in 2010, they worked as a Facility Supervisor at Trinity University, where they managed the check-in desk and supervised event set-up. John also participated as an NCAA Student-Athlete in Men's Basketball.

In 2012, John interned as a Finance Intern at MassMutual Financial Group.

In 2013, they served as a Business Intern at Standard of Athletics (SOA), a nonprofit organization, where they gained experience in event management, financial reporting, and volunteer staffing.

In 2014, John held internships as a Business Intern at RideNow Powersports and as a Sales and Marketing Intern at KINETICAL SPORTS, where they contributed to marketing efforts and collaborated with app designers for a basketball statistics app.

From 2015 to 2019, they worked at Fidelity Investments, starting as a Financial Representative and subsequently holding roles as a High Net Worth Associate, Private Client Group Consultant, and Workplace Planning & Guidance Consultant.

In 2019, John joined OYO as a Senior Financial Business Partner. In this role, they were responsible for contract negotiation, partner retention, and process improvement initiatives.

From 2015 to 2022, John worked as an Independent Contractor at SP+ Gameday.

Currently, since 2021, they serve as the Director of Planning & Strategy at Nuvolo.

John LaVanway obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance, along with a minor in Sport Management, from Trinity University. John attended Trinity University from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Brophy College Preparatory in Phoenix, AZ, from 2006 to 2010. Additionally, John obtained the FINRA Series 7, 63, & 66 certification from FINRA, although the exact dates of completion are not provided.
