Alex Fit-Florea has extensive experience in the field of computer science and deep learning technologies. Since January 2010, Alex has been the Head of Deep Learning Algorithms and High-Performance Computing Accelerated Libraries at NVIDIA, where responsibilities include managing the core numerical algorithms group focused on deep learning and GPU libraries, fostering a culture built on purpose, excellence, and transparency. Prior to this role, Alex worked at Advanced Micro Devices from August 2004 to January 2010 as an MTS Design Engineer, contributing to CPU architecture and pioneering the accelerated processing unit concept. Alex holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Southern Methodist University and an M.B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
