Melanie Nadorp

Melanie Nadorp has a diverse work experience that includes roles in the legal and privacy fields. Melanie founded Security Coaches in 2023 and worked as a privacy advisor (CPO) at NVM in the same year. In 2022, they served as a privacy consultant & people manager at Mel's Expertise and also started a travel blog called Mel's Places. From 2022 to 2023, they worked as a Legal Counsel privacy a.i. at KLM. Prior to that, Melanie worked at Verdonck, Klooster & Associates (VKA) as a partner, managing consultant, and senior consultant in the privacy department from 2017 to 2022. Melanie was also actively involved in the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) as the Chair Knowledgenet Netherlands and as a Young Privacy Professional Leader from 2018 to 2020. Before VKA, they worked as a privacy advisor at Provincie Noord-Holland in 2017-2018 and as a jurist & privacy professional at TeekensKarstens advocaten notarissen from 2015 to 2016. Additionally, they had a role as a juridisch (privacy) medewerker at The Renewables in 2015-2016.

Melanie Nadorp completed their education with a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Internet, intellectual property, and ICT from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 2012 to 2014. Prior to this, they pursued a premaster's degree in law at the same institution in 2011-2012.

In terms of their undergraduate studies, Melanie attended Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences from 2007 to 2010, where they pursued a degree in HBO Rechten (unspecified).
