Ana de Castro is a highly experienced policy advisor with a focus on European research infrastructures, currently serving at the NWO (Dutch Research Council) since February 2020. Responsibilities include coordinating the European Research Infrastructures Consortia (ERIC) and representing the Netherlands in European Large Scale Research Infrastructures (ESFRI). Ana has held previous positions at KWF Kankerbestrijding as Program Coordinator in Infrastructures and at INFRAFRONTIER in project management roles, contributing to significant biomedical sciences initiatives. Ana's academic background includes a PhD in Exact and Natural Sciences from the University of Groningen and engineering in Agriculture from Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, complemented by experience as a postdoctoral researcher at both Vienna University of Technology and Colorado State University.
