Jeroen Sondervan

Jeroen Sondervan is an experienced professional in the field of open scholarly communication and publishing. Currently serving as the Programme Leader for Open Scholarly Communication at NWO and Open Science NL since October 2022, Jeroen has been integral in promoting open science initiatives. Previously, at Utrecht University, Jeroen led the Open Access UU Open Science Programme and served as an Open Access Publishing Consultant. Jeroen's extensive career includes roles such as Senior Commissioning Editor at Amsterdam University Press, Project Manager at Brill, and freelance publishing work at Sondervan Publishing and Hiro. With a strong background in project management, information management, and open access strategies, Jeroen has contributed to various scholarly publishing projects and initiatives across multiple organizations. Educational credentials include a Bachelor’s degree in Media and Information Management from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and a B.A. in Media and Culture from the University of Amsterdam.
