Luc Starmans is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in investment management and strategy consulting within the healthcare and life sciences sectors. Currently serving as a Partner at Brightlands Venture Partners since August 2021, Luc has held multiple titles including Senior Investment Manager and Investment Manager. In addition to roles at Brightlands, Luc is actively involved as a Non Executive Board Member for various companies such as Vivalyx, Aliform, PL BioScience GmbH, and Hy2Care BV, and functions as an Investor with niostem. Luc also contributes to the NWO as a Committee Member focused on translating scientific advancements into societal impact. Prior to these roles, Luc was with KPMG Nederland for nearly seven years in strategy consulting and began a career in biomedical research at Philips Research and Eindhoven University of Technology, where Luc developed advanced imaging agents during a PhD candidacy. Luc holds a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology.
