Richard Batenburg has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Richard is currently working as an Application Engineer at NX Filtration since February 2022. Prior to this, Richard worked at SoliQz B.V. as a Pilot Plant Engineer from July 2016 to June 2021, where they were responsible for preparing and executing laboratory and pilot plant scale experiments. Before that, they were a Commissioning Engineer at Pentair from November 2013 to June 2016, where they commissioned filtration systems worldwide and organized training sessions. Richard also worked as a Researcher at the Institute for Sustainable Process Technology from September 2012 to October 2013, where they focused on projects related to electrodialysis and mild fractionation of suspensions and emulsions. Richard started their career as an Intern at DSM from October 2011 to July 2012, where they worked on the desalination of industrial streams using electrodialysis. Richard also gained experience as an Intern at Merck from September 2009 to February 2010, where they worked on process optimization and purifying progesterone.
Richard Batenburg pursued their education at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (Hogeschool Utrecht) from 2006 to 2012. During this period, they completed their Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Organische scheikunde (Organic Chemistry). In addition, they obtained the VCA VOL (Safety for Operational Supervisor) certification from VCANederland in May 2014.
