Zhen Zhang

Zhen Zhang is aScientific Advisor, an expert in bioinformatics and statistics, and is the associate director of the Center for Biomarker Discovery and Translation at John Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Zhang has conducted biomarker research for over 20 years, in particular in the design of biomarker discovery and validation studies, and the development of in vitro diagnostic multivariate index assays (IVDMIA) for clinical applications. He was an integral part of the discovery and development of the OVA1 test for pre-surgery assessment of malignancy risk for women diagnosed with pelvic mass. OVA1 was the first ever IVDMIA protein marker test cleared by FDA for clinical use.
