Jennifer McGarvey

Jennifer McGarvey is a Senior Scientist at Nxera Pharma since May 2016, focusing on the thermostabilisation of receptor proteins through targeted mutagenesis and directed evolution. Prior experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Associate in the Laboratory for GPCR Biology at the University of Pittsburgh from February 2013 to December 2015, where research centered on parathyroid hormone receptor membrane trafficking and PDZ proteins. Jennifer also completed an industrial placement at GSK in 2006-2007 within the MDR Biopharm Discovery Technology Group. Education includes a PhD in Molecular Neuroscience from the University of Bristol (2008-2012) and an MSci in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Glasgow (2003-2008).
