Nigel Swain

Nigel Swain is an accomplished professional in the field of medicinal chemistry with extensive experience leading drug design strategies. Since June 2016, Nigel Swain has held the position of Vice President and Head of Discovery at Nxera Pharma, where previous roles included Senior Director and Director of Chemistry. In addition to responsibilities at Nxera Pharma, Nigel Swain has been a Committee Member and Conference Organiser for SCI: Fine Chemical Group since 2011. Prior to this, Nigel Swain spent over 13 years at Pfizer Ltd, where the role of Senior Principal Scientist involved leadership in project strategies within the neuroscience and pain research unit, along with managing a team of research chemists. Nigel Swain holds a PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry and an MChem in Chemistry with Industrial Experience, both from the University of Southampton.
