Britt Ide has held a number of roles in the energy and climate space since 2010. In that year, they became President/CEO of Ide Energy & Strategy. In 2014, they became a Board Director at Hotrock Energy Research Organization. In 2017, they became a Board Director at NorthWestern Energy, where they served on the Human Capital and Nominating and Governance Committees. In 2019, they joined the Advisory Board of the Energy Policy Institute and the Board of Directors of the Coalition for Green Capital. In 2020, they became an Advisory Board Member of 3Degrees Group, Inc. and a Coach for Aspiring Corporate Directors at Athena Alliance. In 2021, they joined CleanTech Acquisition Corp as a Director Board of Directors and Atlis Motor Vehicles as Lead Independent Board Director. Britt is also an Advisor at Plan C Advisors, a global climate consultancy.

Britt Ide's education history includes a Certificate in Negotiation and Mediation from Harvard University in 2011, a J.D. from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law between 1996 and 1999, an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Montana State University-Bozeman between 1995 and 1996, a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University between 1990 and 1993, and a year of study in Engineering at Cornell University between 1989 and 1990. In addition, Ide obtained a Board Leadership Fellow certification from the National Association of Corporate Directors in April 2017.
