Kianush (Mohammad) Kia has worked in the engineering field since 2013. Kianush (Mohammad) began their career as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Hospital for Special Surgery, where they specialized in Multibody Dynamics and developed a multibody knee model in ADAMS/View. In 2017, they joined Caelynx as a Project Engineer, where they conducted CAE projects using both Multibody Dynamics (MBD) and Finite Element (FE) software. In 2019, they became a Simulation Engineer at A123 Systems, where they performed linear/nonlinear structural finite element analysis of the Battery components to ensure design goals were met. Currently, they are a Sr. Mechanical Engineer - Vehicle Dynamics at Atlis Motor Vehicles, where they are responsible for generating benchmark data and developing a production-intent attribute development plan.

Kianush (Mohammad) Kia has a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, which they obtained between 2007 and 2011. Kianush (Mohammad) also has a Master's degree in Vehicle Dynamics from K. N. Toosi University of Technology, which they obtained between 2003 and 2006. In addition, Kianush has obtained three certifications: Entrepreneurship Foundations from LinkedIn in June 2021, Critical Thinking for Better Judgment and Decision-Making from LinkedIn in January 2021, and FUNDAMENTALS OF VEHICLE DYNAMICS from SAE International in October 2020.
