Nailah Kausar

Nailah Kausar currently serves as an in-house Family Solicitor at the National Youth Advocacy Service since January 2023 and has been an Independent Panel Member for Police Misconduct Hearings with The Office of The Police and Crime Commissioner for Lincolnshire since August 2024. Additionally, Kausar provides pro bono legal advice as a Legal Adviser with Rights of Women, assisting women at risk of or who have experienced domestic abuse. Prior experience includes roles as a Family Solicitor at Star Legal Solicitors and Lord, Cox & Salt LLP, and as a Trainee Solicitor/Solicitor at Mushtaq & Co, where significant cases included shadowing counsel in notable appeals. Early career positions included paralegal roles in Family Law and casework for a local Labour MP. Kausar holds a Legal Practice Course from The University of Law and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Birmingham City University.
