Machelle Allen

Machelle Allen, M.D., is Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of NYC Health + Hospitals. Dr. Allen previously served as the health system’s interim CMO since June 2016 and, prior to that, as Deputy Chief Medical Officer since October 2013.

A longstanding veteran of our health system, she completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, worked as an attending physician at Harlem and Bellevue hospitals, and served as the Associate Medical Director at Bellevue until 2013.

Dr. Allen is a graduate of Cornell University and the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine.
