Sean Brown

Sean Brown, CIC, CPHQ, currently serves as the Associate Director of Infection Prevention & Control at NYC Health + Hospitals, a position held since June 2020. Prior experience includes roles as an Infection Preventionist & Lead Sepsis Coordinator at Mount Sinai Health System and a Senior Public Health Adviser at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, specifically in the Bureau of Tuberculosis Control. Sean's background also includes public health advisement at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and emergency medical services as an EMT with First Response Ambulance. Additionally, Sean has experience as a medical transcriptionist and as a teacher's assistant, supporting special needs classrooms. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Bio-Behavioral Health from Penn State University, with ongoing training at the Nassau County Police & Fire Academy.
